HIV Update

6/4/09: One adult industry performer HIV Positive by PCR/DNA Qualitative, Confirmatory Positive by PCR/DNA drawn on 6/6/09 currently the RNA came back in the 400's we are awaiting for the Western Blot and the final lab reports. The Elisa came back positive. Last negative test was 4/29/09.

One partner industry performer HIV negative (industry partner) who tested not detected by PCR/DNA Qual. Also on 6/8/09 the partner was re-tested by PCR/RNA and was not detected (viral load), PCR/DNA Qual again not detected, Elisa (non reactive = negative) Western Blot still pending. The partner will retest 14 days from 6/7/09 on 6/22/09 The last negative test was 5/13/09.

One patient HIV negative (Industry partner) in Las Vegas. This patient tested on 6/9/09 by PCR/DNA not detected, Elisa negative, PCR/RNA still pending, Western Blot still pending. They worked together on 6/5/09. This patient will be retested 14 days from exposure on 6/19/09.

One patient (partner of Industry partner), last tested negative on 5/19/09 will retest in two weeks on 6/19/09.

All aforementioned parties have also been tested for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis.

We have also contacted and offered peace of mind testing and counseling by (HIV/PCR, Elisa, and general STDs, to any partner of all the above parties. These are referred as 2nd generation exposures only, and they have been asked to refrain from working until more parties are confirmed negative, or otherwise.

Let's get the FACTS:

Rumor is rampant when the words HIV and Porn are in the same sentence, the media is like a moth to a flame. We are finding that many clients, patients, and companies are tempted to discuss this delicate matter with the world for whatever personal or professional gain. Fact is, that we are still awaiting final confirmation on the patient Zero, who was given a positive result on Saturday 6/6/09.

There is no possible way any patient could have obtained a positive HIV result as our Laboratory, has specific, and private contact protocols to our Staff. As to the rumor that a negative result was given by error to an HIV positive patient who then worked and exposed others, this too, is not possible, as there was no result available either positive or negative until 6/6/09.
