Dr. Sharon Mitchell on NPR

Currently Dr. Mitch is focused on her new health care website Sxcheck.com which she founded with Stanford graduate Doug Wightman in direct response to an oft expressed need for her candid services bringing sexual healthcare to the public through the ease of the internet.

The website provides a wealth of information about sexual health, STD's and the unique ability to order STD testing online, be directed to a nearby clinic nationwide and notably receive those results quickly and securely via email and through mobile phone text message.

Removing the inherent stigma and judgement from the testing equation, Dr. Mitch intends to make proactive behavior and STD testing an easy choice. Very soon the website will be able to offer in-home testing nationwide.

Dr. Sharon Mitchell will also be a featured therapist on the upcoming Dr. Drew Pinsky reality series "Celebrity Rehab" airing in January 2008. The series is an attempt to show the rigorous work that these individuals must go through to become sober, debunking the idea that rehab is simply another vacation.
